The Ghana Association of Medical Herbalists has cautioned citizens to observe personal and environmental hygiene amidst the coronavirus outbreak and the coming of the rainy season.

A statement signed by Anthony Mensah, the Association’s president, said the nation will not be able to withstand COVID-19 cases together with cholera and other sanitation-related outbreak should environmental pollution persist.

“Used sanitary diapers, should be properly disposed of, or burnt. Liquid waste collection vehicles should endeavour to empty collected residue at designated points and should be treated properly,” he said.

He further outlined the preventive measures that people must practice in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
