Taking to her social media handle, she commended all-female frontline health workers who selflessly dedicated themselves to the fight against the deadly coronavirus after Ghana recorded its first two cases in March last year.
"Let me also appreciate the female frontline workers who have fearlessly been at the forefront of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic."
Mrs Mahama who has a soft spot for the welfare of underprivileged individuals particularly orphans and vulnerable children also acknowledged matrons and staff workers of orphanages for their effort in catering and caring for such persons.
