The MTN CEO Selorm Adadevoh says the telecommunication company will continue to be a keen investor in the industry.
Selorm Adadevoh was speaking at the 2023 MTN Stakeholders and Media Engagement held at the Volta Serene Hotel, in Ho, under the theme 'Leveraging Technology to Serve Customers with Excellence'.
He noted that MTN is looking to improve services for customers not only from a network perspective but also from the way customers interact with MTN self–service.

“The first one is we continue to be a keen investor in the market. We committed in 2021 to invest over a billion dollars in infrastructure and in the third year were ahead of our targets. We continue to be keen and committed to this investment."
"You can count on us to deliver on this promise. The second one is we're also looking at how we can improve services for customers, not only from a network perspective but also from the way customers interact with MTN self-service we want customers to go to do things in the comfort of their homes,” Mr Adadevoh said.

He mentioned putting control into the hands of customers using different apps like my MTN app and all other services.
Mr Adadevoh noted that MTN is a global company that takes data protection very seriously and thus aside from the Data Protection Act, they implement other practices that guide them.
He assured all customers that MTN does not go against the provisions of the data protection act, noting that "your data is safe with us and will not be shared with third parties without your consent."

Selorm Adadevoh also called for partnership between stakeholders and the industry players to generate strategic ways of putting a stop to momo fraud in the country.
He stated that adding that the issue must be dealt with all the urgency needed.
In his presentation, Mr Selorm Adadevoh also noted that MTN is delivering exciting customer experiences through mobile technology and that the purpose is to lead the delivery of a bold, new digital world with a mission to make the lives of their customers a whole lot brighter.

“Our strategy is anchored in building the largest and the most valuable platform business with a clear focus on Africa,” Mr Adadevoh said.
Also speaking at the event was the Senior Manager for Regional Sales (South East), Peter Bimpeh, who noted that this year’s forum is leveraging technology to serve customers with excellence.

“Inspired by the immense potential we see here in Ghana, in Africa, we are committed to bringing a data world by increasing and advancing the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through our core business, activities and support to government communities, and customers,” Mr Bimpeh said.
Mr Bimpeh noted that despite prevailing headwinds, they remain confident that the future holds promise for all of Africa as a whole.
