The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections has urged the party faithful to eschew the urge to point fingers and apportion blame for the party's loss in the recent poll.
According to Dr Bawumia, this is the time to heal, introspect and forge greater unity for the electoral fight ahead.
Dr Bawumia made the call when hundreds of party faithful trooped into his house to commiserate with him and urge him to prepare to lead the party into the 2028 polls.
"This is not the time for blame game. This is not the time to be levelling accusations and fighting each other.
"This is the time to unite. Unity is key to achieving our goals. This is the time to reflect on our words and actions, come strongly together and forge forward as one body with one common goal."
Dr Bawumia expressed his deep appreciation for the party's rank and file across the country for their immense support before, during and after the elections, saying "Your messages of support and encouragement are deeply appreciated. Let us keep the faith and stay strong. We will surely be back."
