Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah is calling for the dissolution and reestablishment of Ghana’s Football Association.
According to her, not only is the football league dead, but the existing FA has done a poor job of managing football in the country.
Speaking on 3Music TV, Nana Aba Anamoah said “I used to work with Kurt when he was doing the FA Cup. I used to host it for him.
"And I expected better from Kurt Okraku, but Kurt has not done better. I expected Henry Asante Twum to do better. He hasn’t done better.”
“Our football is dead! Have you followed the local league? Forget about the Black Stars, because they don’t matter. The real problem is our local league. It is dead!” she said.
The broadcast journalist stated that although Ghanaians have been protesting and calling for better management of the football league including the Black Stars, these demonstrations may not have much of an impact.
Nana Aba Anamoah said that the FA should be dissolved while a ban from FIFA is acquired to put a halt to activities.
This, she explained, would help put things in order to help regrow the football league in the country.
“And putting a house in order doesn’t mean putting friends and cronies there. It means to put people with sense there to work,” she said.
Her comments come after some Ghanaians, led by sports journalists Saddick Adams, popularly known as Sports Obama, Veronica Commey, and Patrick Osei Agyemang, went on a demonstration dubbed 'SaveGhanaFootball' demonstration in Accra on Wednesday.
The protesters are demanding drastic measures to be taken to salvage Ghana’s dying football industry.
The protest was fueled by the abysmal performance of the senior national team, the Black Stars, at the 34th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars exiting at the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is the third time in consecutive major tournaments that the team has failed to progress from the first round.
The Kurt Okraku-led Ghana Football Association is searching for a fifth Black Stars coach since coming into office five years ago.
The conveners of the demonstration presented a 15-point petition to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, after the protest.
Among other things, they are seeking accountability, development of a national policy, structural reforms and disbandment of management committees.
