An eight-year-old girl has allegedly been defiled by a 30-year-old private security officer in the Tamale metropolis of the Northern Region.
The suspect, Hafiz Mohammed, who was stationed at the Bethel Methodist School Complex is said to have taken advantage of the girl when she went to urinate near a toilet facility.
This was near the premises while her colleagues were playing on the school compound after school hours.
According to reports, the security man threatened to kill the victim before the sexual intercourse.
Sources said he also asked her not to report the matter to her parents or else she will die.
The sources said when she returned to her colleagues, she couldn't hide it from them due to the pains she was going through at that time.
Her friends then reported it to the victim's aunt two days after the incident who subsequently called for the arrest of the security man.
