First founded in South Africa in July 2013, the food brand, RocoMamas is celebrating its first anniversary of working in Ghana.
RocoMamas is known for its uniqueness, being weird, odd and boldly being daring has a brand position of “not normal” which is evident in the funky décor, rock ‘n roll vibe, unique menu items and an open-style kitchen where customers can see (and smell) the meals being prepared.
According to management, this new concept is a result of the growing appetite for handmade food and a more personalized dining experience.
The food brand on Friday October 29, 2021, as part of the first anniversary celebrations in Ghana, awarded three customers in an initiative dubbed ‘Come back tour’, a contest run to test the creativity of their customers to create a menu with the eatery’s 6 limited burgers.
The awardees went home with; iPhone 12 Pro Max for the first winner, PlayStation 5 for the second winner and Smart TV for the third winner. It was presented by Sean Rowe, Executive Director, Simbisa Brands Ghana Ltd.
Speaking to Gilbert Lartey, Marketing Manager of Simbisa Brands Ghana limited, he said, “RocoMamas has been in Ghana for a year after it was successfully launched on October 31, 2020, though amid Covid-19 but we have been good through the challenges. Covid-19 gave us other business ideas. The journey has been good so far amidst the challenges.”
RocoMamas has fast become one of the trendiest fast-casual restaurants internationally, garnering a loyal following of burger enthusiasts. “Famous for our artisanal-style “Smashburgers”, we also serve chicken wings and beef and pork ribs as our core offering.
Our flagship restaurant in Ghana located at the ANC Mall is our way of introducing Ghanaians to a true story based on love, rock and hamburgers. Our target audience has been Young Urbanites, Families, Fun-loving young people and young at heart.”
At the event, young Ghanaian artiste, Blaco and some other social media personalities were present, the event had Sheldon the Turnup as MC and DJ Wallpaper as official DJ for the night.
