The second season of Joy Prime’s kids' culinary competition, The Big Chef is making its return this July.
The competition, launched on July 5, 2022, on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, will see talented kids showcase their culinary skills through series of competitions, trials and tests.

Present at the launch was award-winning chef, Kofi Agyekum, who will also judge the contestants.
In an interview with Prime Morning’s host, KMJ, the Channel Coordinator for Joy Prime, Madam Gladys Osei Owiredu said the managers of the TV station are happy to bring back the competition after a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Madam Owiredu added that Season 2 will offer the contestants free specialized training in culinary skills as the chef-judge is also a trainer.

“What is different this time is that we have a chef, who is an internationally acclaimed award-winning chef, runs a culinary school and is happy to offer the contestants free extra tuition. The sponsors this time around are very excited to increase their product participation," she noted.
Chef Kofi Agyekum expressed excitement and added that as a judge, he is looking forward to an amazing competition.

The project lead from the Marketing and Sales Department of The Multimedia Group Limited, Mr. Anthony Amofa said sponsors of Season 2 will definitely be thrilled by the quantum of promotions and the leverage for their brands.

The Big Chef competition is open to children between the ages of 9 and 14 who can cook and are vocal about their culinary skills.
