Former UN Governance Advisor Baffuor Agyemang-Duah has paid tribute to the late former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings for her unwavering commitment to promoting Ghanaian culture and traditional fashion.
Speaking in remembrance of her, Mr Agyemang-Duah praised the late former first lady for remaining true to her roots through her distinctive style of dressing, which consistently showcased Ghana’s rich cultural heritage on the global stage.
He recounted that during his time in Zimbabwe, people often spoke highly of Nana Konadu’s elegance and her dedication to representing Ghanaian identity wherever she went.
"I was in Zimbabwe some years back and not only the wife of Mugabe...they were also influenced by the way Nana Konadu always dressed in our traditional clothing; she was always promoting that."
"I heard it all over, as they have been impressed by Nana Konadu. I think that part of her life went beyond the borders," he added.
Mr Agyemang-Duah made these remarks as tributes continue to pour in for the late former first lady, who passed away on Thursday.
