The Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup 2026 is set to begin on March 22 at the Madina Astroturf, with 16 teams set to battle for glory.
The launch of the 11th edition was held on March 22 at the conference room of the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra.
Among the dignitaries present were a representative of the National Chief Imam, Dr. Abubakar Marzuq; former Board Chairman of the Zongo Development Fund, Lawyer Seidu Nasigri; competition organizers; representatives from the participating communities; and the “Die Hard” Supporters Union.


The pairing was also done at the launch, as Adabraka Zongo open their title defence against Ashaley Botwe in Game 7 on the day.
Sabon Zongo will kick off the competition against Nsawam.

Meanwhile, Black Stars forwards Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana have pledged to support the tournament with individual prizes, as well as the provision of jerseys.
The Ramadan Cup, which was introduced in 2015, is in honour of the National Chief Imam, Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to unite Zongo communities across the country.
