The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has completed the balloting for its ten presidential aspirants for the super delegates conference slated for August 26.
The balloting came off on Wednesday at a meeting which sought to address the concerns of aspirants about the impending election.
On the ballot, popular NPP firebrand and Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agapong appears first, followed by Alan Kyerematen in the second position. Essikado-Ketan MP Joe Ghartey comes in at number three, Kwadwo Poku at number four, while Dr Afriyie Akoto will take the fifth position.
Also, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong will be sixth on the ballot, Addai Nimo takes the seventh slot followed by Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku at number eight. Mr. Kyerematen Agyarko is at number nine and lastly, the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is at number 10.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, the spokesperson for the NPP’s Election Committee, Alexander Afenyo-Markin noted that the party and aspirants have come to a consensus on the election, adding that all their concerns have also been addressed.

Among other things, it was agreed that the Electoral Commission will take charge of the elections and see through the printing of the ballot papers, he said.
“Agents of the aspirants will also oversee the printing of the ballot papers. All that we will do is furnish EC with the details, and the notice of polls will also be put out. The EC will also see through all the security arrangements as well,” he added.
“There is going to be proxy (voting), the notice will be issued and the deadline for all proxies will be on August 2,” he added.
Mr Markin added that all aspirants will be furnished with the proxy list and the election album as well.
After the super delegates conference on August 26, the number of aspirants will be trimmed to five, out of which the party's presidential candidate would be elected.
