Financial coach and career mentor, Jemima Okyerewa Attamah has said that technological skills are becoming a prime requirement for employment in Ghana.
According to her, the world is advancing technologically, and individuals need to adapt and adjust to the new techniques.
The financial expert spoke on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning on Monday while outlining the ways to build one’s career after national service.
"In an AI-driven era, I’ll say that your tech skills are very important. It will soon be a requirement for everyone. Even now, I think it is because, aside from digital media and technical IT things, we use enterprise resource planning (ERPs - software that we use). So, what I can say is, you can even enroll," she advised.
She also attributed her point to the fact that the majority of organisations currently demand soft copies of CVs in recent job hunts.
Technology, she believes, has obviously made things easier and quicker in modern times.
It is therefore incumbent on people to be open-minded and ready to welcome all opportunities during and after national service.
"While waiting, what can you do? Can you improve your soft skills? Can you look at volunteering? This will give you enough experience to put it on. Seek opportunities yourself," the expert added.
The career mentor further asserted that it is advisable for job hunters to upgrade themselves due to the unending evolution of technology in every aspect of study.
She urged graduates to prioritise their CVs by keeping them safe as their living documents because it is the key to getting employment in every company and to also be aggressive in their quest.
