The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a significant victory in the Greater Accra Region, claiming to have won 30 parliamentary constituencies in the 2024 general election.
This declaration was made by the party’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, at a press conference on Sunday, 8 December.
According to Mr Gyamfi, the party’s assertion is based on its internal collation of results from polling stations across the region.
He explained that NDC polling agents had meticulously collected and submitted data, which the party believes demonstrates its dominance in the region.
“We are proud to announce that the NDC has emerged victorious in 30 constituencies in the Greater Accra Region, according to our internal collation. This outcome reflects the overwhelming support of the people and their desire for a new direction,” Mr Gyamfi stated.
He also highlighted the importance of these wins in boosting the party’s overall parliamentary strength. He urged supporters to remain vigilant and ensure that the integrity of the election process is upheld as the NDC awaits the official declaration of results by the Electoral Commission.
