Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, the presidential running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasised that the party's chances of winning the upcoming December 7 election rely more on divine intervention than on their strategic plans.
Speaking during the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Mount Olivet Methodist Church at Lagos Town in Takoradi on Saturday, August 10, Dr. Prempeh highlighted the importance of seeking God's guidance in their quest to "break the eight."
He called on NPP members and supporters to intensify their prayers, asking for God’s favour and intervention in their efforts to secure victory in the forthcoming elections.
Dr. Prempeh believes that while party strategies are important, it is ultimately God's will that will determine the outcome of the elections.
In his remarks, Dr. Prempeh underscored the power of faith and encouraged the congregation to support the party through prayer, trusting that divine support would lead to success.
He expressed confidence that with God's help, the NPP could achieve its goal of winning the election and continuing its leadership.
“The possibility is only with God. Nothing is possible unless there is God inside…Just like I tell my party it is not the planning for winning the election because, with the Methodist Church behind us, we will surely win it.”
“…Whether you admit it or not it is only God that can make the angels, and the stones turn and come and vote for us. It is only God who can grant us the favour of men."
“It is only God who can change the heart of leaders to make them better leaders,” he stated.
