The restored Member of Parliament for Kpandai, Matthew Nyindam, has expressed deep gratitude to former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the support he received during his legal battle at the Supreme Court.
Mr Nyindam said Dr Bawumia played a significant role in encouraging him throughout the court proceedings, describing his intervention as invaluable during a difficult period in his political journey.
“I also want to thank His Excellency, the former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, for the support he's given me throughout. I am most grateful, may God add several years to his current years.”
He further expressed optimism that the former Vice President would one day serve the nation as President.
“I know by the will of God, he will serve this nation one day. I am very grateful.”
Mr Nyindam made the remarks after the Supreme Court, in a 4–1 majority decision, quashed a High Court ruling that had annulled his election, thereby restoring him as Member of Parliament for Kpandai.
