Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo, believes his team deserved to win against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday in their round three 2025 AFCON qualifier.
Ghana squandered numerous chances and settled for a goalless draw against Kwesi Appiah’s team.
The draw leaves the four-time African champions’ hopes of qualifying for the tournament hanging in the balance.
Speaking to the press after the game, Addo said, “The chances were there. A lot of chances, but this is football. Sometimes, it is very, very hard for us. So now it pains even more. The Niger game pains even more, and also the last-minute goal against Angola pains even more.
“Today, again, we did well, and there's not much I can say except for the result, and this is the most important thing in football. It's not correct.
“I think we deserved to win, but we didn't. But, we will stay positive, and we will beat them away with the same performance, passion, and creativity up front.”
The Black Stars, with just two points, are third in Group F of the qualifiers for the Morocco tournament.
Sudan, on the other hand, sits second in the group with four points, two behind leaders Angola, who have played two games.
On Tuesday, Ghana will wrap up its October international break with an away game against Sudan in Libya.
