Olam Ghana Limited, a major supply chain manager of agri-products and food ingredients, has been ranked 9th in the 2019 Ghana Club 100 organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
The company’s subsidiaries, Nutrifoods Ghana Limited, a packaged foods manufacturer and Olam Cocoa Processing Ghana Limited, a Kumasi-based company which produces cocoa liquor recipes, were listed at 41 and 70 respectively in this year’s ranking.
The Ghana Club 100 (GC100) is an annual official list of the top 100 companies in Ghana, compiled by the GIPC since 1998, with the objective to develop a database of the top 100 viable companies, as an annual “who is who” on the Ghanaian corporate business calendar and through creative media vehicles and activities, promote Ghana’s corporate capacity”.
The rankings recognize the top 100 best-performing companies as a way of encouraging excellence and competition and subsequently improve standards and the quality of products and services in the country.
This year’s Club 100 Awards event was themed around “Sustainable Agriculture – The Bedrock of Ghana’s Industrialization Drive”.
Commenting on Olam Ghana’s recognition, Mr. Amit Agrawal, Country Director of Olam Ghana, said: “This recognition serves to boost employee commitment and has engendered some pride amongst us in what we do.
“This has gone a long way to position the company strongly among our competitors. Our Board acknowledges the strides we are making here, and they visited us to commemorate our successes and push for more investment in Ghana.”
