A fatal accident on the Kintampo-Tamale highway in the Bono East Region has left at least 30 people burnt to death, Monday morning.
Adom News’ correspondent Wiafe Akenteng who is at the scene says those involved, include women and children.
According to him, a Yutong bus reportedly collided with a mini Sprinter bus with registration number AS 1801-18 causing both vehicles to go up in flames.
While it is unclear what caused the incident, local reports suggest the Yutong bus may have veered off its lane while trying to overtake another vehicle but ended up crashing into the sprinter bus.
Others who managed to escape with various degrees of burns have been rushed to the Kintampo and Techiman Hospitals.
Meanwhile, personnel from the fire and police service are currently at the scene to salvage the situation.
