Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah wants the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to protect the sanctity of football if they are to attract investors.
The FA products have been maimed in the last couple of years, leading to a documentary on alleged match-fixing and malfeasance in 2018 by Tiger Eye PI.
The new leadership of the association has been working to restore the brandished image of the industry, but there are beliefs that few members of the FA continue to run down integrity of football.
Isaac Asiamah admonished members of Congress to adhere to three key principles, sanctity, integrity and the image of the game because it is their responsibility to recoup their investment.
"Let us protect the sanctity, the integrity, and image of football," Asiamah said at the FA 26th Ordinary Congress on Tuesday.
"You are the decision-makers, you are the people who call the shots of football, it is your responsibility to grow football and you must ensure the game is developed.
"The sanctity, the integrity and the image of football is your responsibility. These three words are key to the development of football," he noted.
In March 2019, President of the now-defunct normalisation committee, Dr Kofi Amoah said corporate Ghana is unwilling to sponsor football.
He attributed the negativity surrounding the game as the reason.
Asiamah reckon continual censure of football would affect investors, reminding them of their responsibility to build the game.
"When you damage the brand, it affects you. The brand of football your job, it is my job.
"We need to make the game more attractive so that we can get the kind of investment that we need for football.
"I urge all of you to abide by these three key principles: sanctity, integrity and the image of the game," he stated.
