Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Samuel Anim Addo says there is no intent to frustrate second-tier club, Techiman City FC.
Techiman City FC President Charles Kwadwo Ntim quit football last week over claims of being targeted by the local football governing body.
This was after the club was banned from playing their home matches at the Nana Ameyaw Park for breaching coronavirus safety protocols. The GFA ordered them to their remaining home games in Tamale.

Mr Ntim, popularly known as Mickey Charles, feels the club have been treated unfairly by GFA, therefore opted to quit football until Kurt Okraku leaves office.
But Samuel Anim Addo has defended the GFA, saying there is no plot to destabilize any club owner and that the association has neither personal scores nor emotions attached to their duties.
“No one has targeted Techiman City FC. Some of the ExCo members have expressed their displeasure with several decisions. I think that our independent judicial bodies must act swiftly and rightly in their duties upholding fairness.
The GFA president himself was not happy with how the judicial bodies have been slow in adjudication. There is no deliberate attempt to punish some clubs and leave others out” Anim Addo told Nhyira 104.5FM.
