Police were called to the Knotty Ash area of the city at 12.15am on Monday following reports of a collision.
When they arrived, they found a BMW had crashed into the roundabout that connects East Prescot Road, Eaton Road and Blackmoor Drive, Merseyside Police said.
A woman in her 20s, a man in his 20s and another in his 30s were taken to hospital by ambulance but died shortly after.
