Asante Kotoko failed to beat WAFA at the Len Clay stadium as both club shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

The Porcupine Warriors needed all three points to reclaim top spot and started well by taking the lead through an Ismail Ganiyu penalty after two minutes.

WAFA grew into the game and got their equalizer on the stroke of half time through a Justus Torsutsey header.

The goal was Torsutsey’s fourth in five games as WAFA held on through the second half to pick up a valuable point.

The result means Kotoko now drop to second behind Hearts of Oak on goal difference.

Great Olympics continued to pile pressure at the top of the table after securing a hard fought victory over Inter Allies.

Both sides looked like canceling each other out until a second half goal from Abdul Munasiru handed all three points to the Dade boys.

The win sends Olympics to third, just three points off the top.
