The two big giants, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have stolen the headlines regarding the title race with both clubs level on points.
Hearts of Oak by virtue of a superior goal difference lead the way and remain top.
The other end of the table continues to provide thrill as King Faisal climbed out of the relegation zone last week.
Here are four games you can’t afford to miss this weekend:
Karela United vs Great Olympics
With just eight games to go, there’s a sense that the winner of this game could still have an outside chance of winning the title.
Olympics are currently three points off the top, whilst Karela are four points off.
Both sides know a draw won’t be enough and will go all out in Anyinase.
Karela are currently on the longest unbeaten run in the league that stretches to six games.
Diawisie Taylor, who’s the league’s topscorer, seems to have found his shooting boots again - scoring three in his last four games.
When the two sides met in January, it ended in a goalless draw. However, with a possible title race at stake this time, more intensity will be expected.
Stadium: Crosby Awuah Memorial park, Anyinase.
Time: Friday, 15:00GMT
Prediction: Karela United 1-1 Great Olympics
Aduana Stars vs Asante Kotoko
Being involved in a title race which is currently down to goal difference, Asante Kotoko will have the advantage of playing before rivals, Hearts of Oak.
On Saturday, the Porcupine Warriors visit the Agyeman Badu stadium, a venue they’ve never won before.
This time, any result but victory could dent the title hopes of the Reds.
Aduana come into the game fairly in good form having won three of their last four games.
The Ogya Boys will be full of confidence after beating Kotoko on their home turf earlier in the season.
Stadium: Agyeman Badu stadium, Dormaa
Time: Saturday, 15:00GMT
Prediction: Aduana Stars 2-1 Asante Kotoko
Hearts of Oak vs Berekum Chelsea
Hearts of Oak’s improved defensive record is the reason they’re on top of the table due to goal difference.
The Phobians have conceded just four goals in the second round - the least by any side.
Although, their goal scoring could improve, Samuel Boadu is satisfied with how his team has defended in the last four games.
Hearts have won four games in a row and conceded no goals during that period.
Up next is a familiar opponent in Berekum Chelsea.
Hearts enjoy playing against them at the Accra Sports stadium.
In the ten games both sides have played at the Accra Sports stadium, Hearts have won six, drawn three and lost just once.
The fixture list favours Boadu’s men this weekend and they will fancy all three points against an out of form Berekum Chelsea.
Stadium: Accra Sports stadium, Accra
Time: Sunday, 18:00GMT
Prediction: Hearts of Oak 3-1 Berekum Chelsea
AshantiGold vs Legon Cities
Three wins in their last four games has catapulted Legon Cities into a race for midtable.
Currently sitting 11th, a win against AshantiGold will see Legon Cities in the top 10 for the first time this season.
The Obuasi-based club have been on the decline and only boast of one win in their last five games.
Jonah Attuquaye has been pivotal in the upturn of form for Bashir Hayford’s men scoring two goals in their last three games.
Legon Cities demolished AshantiGold in Accra winning 5-2 and will go into this game full of hope and purpose.
Stadium: Len Clay stadium, Obuasi
Time: Sunday, 15:00GMT
Prediction: AshantiGold 1-2 Legon Cities
