The Police are warning motorists to drive with care following an accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway on Monday, February 28.
The fatal accident happened at Akim Aboabo, between the Akim Asafo and Nsutam stretch of the area.

The crash involved a Nissan Pickup and a loaded DAF articulated truck. The wreckage in the middle of the road has forced personnel from the Kibi MTTD Accident Prevention Squad (APS) to cordon the area.
According to the Police, "emergency crews, including Ghana National Fire Service Extrication Team, National Ambulance Service EMTs, and Road Safety Management Service Limited are proceeding" to the site to assist the victims.
Drivers who ply the route have been redirected to alternative roads on the advice of the MMTD.

For now, "motorists approaching from Suhum are diverted through Kibi, at Apedwa Junction."
Monday's statement explained that "motorists proceeding from Nsutam are diverted through Kibi, at Kibi Junction," adding that "further update will be communicated in due course."
