Black Stars defender, Gideon Mensah, is confident Ghana will beat Nigeria to a spot to represent Africa at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars face the Super Eagles in the second leg of their playoff tie at the Moshood Abiola Stadium later today after a scoreless stalemate at the Baba Yara Stadium last week Friday.
Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, the Bordeaux left-back says the players are willing to give their all as they remain focused on securing qualification to the mundial in Qatar later this year.
"We're not thinking about Ghana not qualifying. We're qualifying obviously," Mensah said when asked about the possibility of Ghana not making it to the tournament at the pre-match conference.
"We had the fighting spirit in the first leg in Kumasi. We're here to push more. We're here to give more fighting spirit than we did in Kumasi."
The 23-year-old was impressive at the Baba Yara Stadium when he came up against Samuel Chukwueze and he will be hoping to replicate the same display in Abuja.
The game kicks off at 17:00 GMT.
