Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is not pleased about some comments his colleague, Sarkodie, made about him.
He was reacting to statements made by the latter on an earlier podcast hosted by South African DJ Macgyver Mukwevho, popularly known as MacG.
According to Shatta Wale, Sarkodie's comments in that interview made him look like a mentally unstable person in the eyes of people and some of his fans, something he says is unfortunate.
"He shouldn't have said that. People have that perception that I have that crazy lifestyle. So, if a colleague like mine talks like that, somebody would think Shatta is a mad man," he said in an interview on Hitz FM's DayBreakHitz on Thursday, July 14.
This comes after the 'Rollies and Cigars' rapper talked about his relationship with Shatta Wale on MacG’s Podcast And Chill.
“Sometimes, we will be on the phone chatting [and] the next day, he will be on the radio saying ‘F Sark,’ Sometimes, we don’t understand it but I think he brought some energy and attention to the music industry,” the Sarkcess Music boss said.
These comments did not sit well with Shatta Wale, who believes Sarkodie does not know what he is about.
He said he could also go around making unpleasant comments about Sarkodie and it would affect him and the image or brand he has created for himself.
"I have sat with you, spoken business languages with you. I have had plans that I called you about because I felt we could use at least the numbers we have to create something. But if you want to talk like this, say it well."
"He could have said maybe 'Shatta has discussed something with me and, because I have not made up my mind, sometimes he feels that I am not ready, you know he goes on social media... I will understand," Shatta Wale told Andy Dosty.
The 'On God' hitmaker explained that in those cases when he discussed business plans with his colleague, he only wanted them to combine forces to make money together.
Shatta Wale said all he has wanted for himself and other artistes is to work together and grow their businesses, and music careers, among others like the foreigners do.
