Fire on Wednesday destroyed some shops at the Tamale Central Market.
An intervention by fire fighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) helped to bring the fire under control and prevented it from spreading to many other shops at the market.
There was no casualty recorded. The cause of the fire is also yet to be determined.
