Midfielder Rashid Nortey has left Medeama SC after six years following the expiration of his contract.
The 27-year-old, who had made over 60 appearances for the Tarkwa-based club, has opted against renewing his contact, having joined them in 2017.
Medeama are struggling in the Betpawa Premier League as they sit seventh with 17 points after week 12.
Rashid is believed to have secured a move to Europe where he will continue his career.
Despite not winning league title with Medeama, he has enjoyed some highs at the club.
His consistent performance landed him an invite by then-Black Stars coach, CK Akonnor, who handed the diminutive player his debut against Morocco in a friendly match in 2021.
He replaced Lomotey in the 89th minute as Ghana eventually lost 1-0 to the Atlas Lions.
Rashid will hope to force himself into the next Ghana call-up in March, 2023.
