Ghana has received the expected prize money as part of its participation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif has confirmed.
The Black Stars were one of five African countries at the last edition of the global showpiece.
However, Ghana suffered a group-stage exit after winning just one of their three group games. The West African superpower was defeated by Portugal and Uruguay, who proceeded to the next round.
The Ghana Football Association was expected to receive a financial reward from FIFA with Ussif confirming the reception of the money during a press briefing.
"The GFA has written to the Ministry that FIFA has transferred the prize money of the 2022 World Cup to the FA," he said.
"We are just about going to AFCON. We also want to improve some sports infrastructure. The FA has written to us that they want to improve the infrastructure at Prampram."
