The Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), Sulley Sambian, has vowed to recapture the Bunkpurugu parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party at the polls in 2024.
Mr Sambian says he is best placed to recapture the seat that fell to the NDC in 2020 once he's elected to lead the party.

Speaking after filing his nomination forms, Mr Sambian said he will beat the NDC candidate with not less than 2,000 votes.
"The NDC is afraid, the MP is afraid. He knows that if I am on the ballot book the gap is going to be more. I will beat him with not less than 2,000 votes, mark it on this day," he said.

He said the NPP won the Bunkpurugu seat in 2012 and 2016, but lost it in 2020, adding that he knows the NPP will win it in the next election.
The NDA CEO said a lot of the party people think there is a need for change and they believe he represents that change.

Mr Sambian said the massive show of support and love by the people who joined him to file his nomination forms was overwhelming.
"I was expecting the numbers but didn't expect this kind of following. I can bet that the over 400 persons who are here are delegates," he said.

He assured that he will lead to the satisfaction of all.
Mr Sambian said he stands for unity and that has continued to reflect in his dealings with all.

"I am preaching peace because I love peace, I am preaching peace because I know that without peace we cannot win the seat. I am a unifier, I am a young guy who is ready with a lot of energy to deliver the seat.
