Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem South, Dr Kwaku Asante-Boateng is urging his party's delegates to live peacefully and work together to secure more votes in the upcoming general election.
According to him, he will hold a meeting with all delegates to join his campaign team to discuss the upcoming campaign.
He believes that this will help the party to gain a wide margin of victory, breaking the eight-year electoral cycle and securing the presidency for the NPP.
“I would impress on them to be part of the main campaign team of Asante Akyem. So they would bring their support and knowledge and whatever they can contribute to the 2024 campaign so that the margin will be big and we will able to break the eight. So that his Excellency will become the next president of Ghana.”
In the past, the NPP has struggled to maintain strong support in Asante Akyem South, with vote totals declining in recent years
Dr. Asante-Boating’s call for unity and cooperation comes after his landslide victory in the recent primary election, where he received 522 votes, compared to 280 for Bice Osei Kuffour and 50 for Eric Amofa.
