Veteran Ghanaian comedian and talk show host, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), has advised those in the creative industry to avoid using drugs.
According to him, while drugs may temporarily boost creativity, they eventually destroy one's creative capacity.
He made these remarks on JoyNews' upcoming documentary, "Creative Addictions, “which sheds light on drug use among celebrities and its side effects.
Mr. Sintim-Misa stated that “you can be the greatest creative and everything, but later on you realize that it brings you down again very fast."
"So, my advice is that you should not depend on any external stimulants to get creative because it would give you just that boost, but you cannot depend on that boost.”
Sharing some personal experience, KSM said he also experimented with drugs and found that they initially sparked creative ideas.
However, upon sobering up, he realized that those ideas were not as brilliant as he initially thought.
He therefore urged people in the creative industry to rely on their inherent inspiration rather than artificial stimulants.
