Bofoakwa Tano will play in the final of the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup following their win over Dreams FC on Sunday.
The Hunters recorded a 2-1 extra time victory at the WAFA Park in Sogakope to seal a place in the final of the cup competition.
The teams failed to find the back of the net in an uneventful opening half of the game as they headed into the break 0-0.
However, it was Bofoakwa who took the lead after the recess.
A cheeky finish with the outside of the right foot from Aboagye Dacosta gave the Bono side the lead just two minutes into the second half.
Dreams pegged Bofoakwa back in the 60th minute through a controversial penalty. Skipper Abdul Jalilu rose to the occasion to net the equaliser.
The Still Believe lads’ equaliser meant the game travelled to extra time after 1-1 at full time.
Just as they did at the start of the second half of the game, Elijah Addai restored Bofoakwa’s lead to make it 2-1.
They eventually held on the latter stages of the game to edge closer to the title as they made the final.
Bofoakwa’s progress to the final means a Bono derby in the final of this year’s MTN FA Cup as they are set to play Nsoatreman who beat Legon Cities to make the final on Saturday.
The final will be played in June at a yet to be determined venue.
