Ghana take on Sudan in a must win AFCON qualifier on Monday, after being held to a frustrating draw in Accra on Thursday.
Otto Addo’s side are currently 3rd in their group, 2 points behind second placed Sudan.
Ahead of the second leg on Monday, former Black Stars midfielder, Laryea Kingston, has cautioned the Black Stars over their approach.
According to Kingston, a conservative approach will spell disaster for the team.
“Sudan showed Ghana a lot of respect. They didn’t come here to win. We need to have it at the back of our minds that they will change their approach in the second leg.
“If we don’t attack them from the start and Sudan decides to attack, they will cause us problems.
“We cannot afford to sit back and invite pressure because if Sudan manages an early goal, we will be in trouble,” he told Joy Sports in an exclusive interview.
Ghana have not failed to qualify for an AFCON since 2004.
