The Chiefs and people of Amoma, a farming community in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region have lauded the humility and integrity of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and assured the flagbearer 100 per cent votes in the 2024 general election.
Besides, Nana Dwomor Ameyaw IV, the Chief of Amoma said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Election 2024 flagbearer deserved their votes due to the commitment he had demonstrated over the years in bringing the development of the area to the next level.
Nana Ameyaw gave the commendation when the Vice President visited the town, as part of his three-day campaign to the Bono East Region and added the implementation of the free Senior High School had benefited several households in the area.
He said the people of the area would forever be grateful to the NPP for the improved roads linking communities, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), and the Planting for Food and Jobs programmes.
Nana Ameyaw IV added the ongoing construction of the seven-kilometre road in the area had inspired the confidence of the people in the NPP government, saying the road was very dear to the people.
On completion, the chief added the road would facilitate easy movement of the people and transportation of foodstuffs to marketing centres and called on the Vice President to facilitate its completion before the Elections.
Earlier addressing the people, Alhaji Dr Bawumia promised his government would do more to tackle all the immediate needs of the local communities in the area and urged them to vote for him.
He reaffirmed his commitment to modernising agriculture by making tractors, combine harvesters and other agriculture equipment readily available for farmers, especially those in rural areas to expand their farm work.
The Vice President said his campaign promise to provide free tertiary education for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) as well as the introduction of a credit system policy that would enable people to go into hire purchases would all be a reality.
