Construction of phase two at the betPawa Park is set to commence at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, Prampram.
This follows an announcement by the Managing Director of Mchezo Limited, operators of the betPawa company, on Tuesday.

''Because we have changed the original contract to a locker room contract, we have decided, as I said before, to continue the work on the stadium.''
''So this is a pure CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative between us and the contractors.'' he said.
In August the Ghana Football Association formally opened the pitch for use after the first phase of work was completed. That phase included the playing pitch, substitute bench, and the changing rooms.

Construction of the pitch is part of betPawa's obligation to the football regulator, in a contract signed two years ago.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, the GFA announced a three-year deal worth $6 million with betPawa.
The $6 million commitment made the betting company the headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League.
At the time, GFA president Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku said ‘’We just signed an agreement with betPawa for an initial period of three years. betPawa are investing a minimum of $6M over the period’’ President Simeon-Okraku said.
''From this money, we shall see the construction of a new pitch at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence that will be called the betPawa pitch''.
However, a year into the contract, the betting company terminated its contract with the league.
Despite the termination, the company retains a healthy business relationship with the football regulator. This is why the betPawa project remains unaffected.
