Struggling Dreams FC are seeking redemption against Asante Kotoko in week 14 of the Ghana Premier League at the Tuba Astro Turf after faltering in their last two matches.
The “Still Believe” side had to wait until matchday 10 for their first victory of the campaign.
The 1-0 win over Medeama SC was followed by an away triumph at newly promoted Vision FC.
As Dreams began racking up victories, their momentum was crushed by a home defeat to Karela and a stalemate against Nsoatreman on the road.
Karim Zito’s side sit 17th, and with over a quarter of the season gone, a win against Kotoko is much needed to avoid a relegation dogfight at the tail end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Kotoko, who had lost four straight matches, are within touching distance of the title – three points shy of top spot – after back-to-back victories over Aduana FC and rivals Hearts of Oak.
Prosper Narteh Ogum would hope to add Dreams to his recent list of casualties but faces a challenge with the absence of the league’s second top-scorer, Albert Amoah, who has scored seven goals, and midfielder Emmanuel Antwi, who are both on national assignment for Ghana’s Black Galaxies in their upcoming qualifier against Nigeria on Sunday in the CHAN qualifiers.
