Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has once again, expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for recent happenings in his life and the nation.
Addressing a Congregation at Light House Chapel, East Legon in Accra, as Special Guest of the Church's 31st Watch Night Service, Dr. Bawumia made reference to the just-ended elections, and expressed gratitude to God.
"Let me wish everybody a Happy New Year. Let's wish for greater and better and greater tidings this New Year," Dr. Bawumia said, as the Congregation roared in excitement.
"We have gone through an election and I want to thank God for his blessings to myself and to the country Ghana," he added.

Referencing the Bible, Dr. Bawumia stressed on the need to give thanks to the Almighty God in every situation.
"The book of 1 Thessalonians, Chapter 5 Verse 18 tells us that in all things, give thanks to God. And for me I have abiding faith in the Lord. And so what He has done for us, we are giving thanks to Him. I know and I believe that God has a plan for me for greater and better days in the future.
Dr. Bawumia, flanked by his wife, Samira, also expressed gratitude to the Founder of the Church, Bishop Dag Heward Mills and the Congregation for their reception.
"I want to thank all of you, for giving us the opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year. God bless you and God bless Ghana."

What a blessing!
Founder and Leader of The Light House Chapel, Bishop Dag Heward Mills, and the Congregation gave Dr. Bawumia a rapturous reception.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia, Bishop Heward Mills expressed excitement, saying Dr. Bawumia's presence marked the first time a such a high-profile personality had visited the congregation.
"I am happy to announce the presence of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife," Bishop Dag Heward Mills said, amidst cheers by the crowd.
"I am so happy because this is the first time we are having a President or a Vice President. What a blessing," Bishop Heward Mills added.
Dr. Bawumia later addressed the Congregation, wished them a blessed New Year.
