President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has condemned the acts of violence which led to the death of a football fan in Nsoatre.
Francis 'Nana Pooley' Frimpong was stabbed to death during the Ghana Premier League game between Nsoatreman and Asante Kotoko on February 5.
Okraku paid a visit to Kotoko for the first time on Thursday, February 20, 15 days after the incident to commiserate with them.
Speaking to the management of the club, Okraku explained the rationale behind his long-term absence since the situation.
"When the incident [Nana Pooley's death] happened, I was out of the jurisdiction, not to campaign for a slot on the CAF Executive Committee but to work for the FA and to attend to my medical need," he said.
"We have lost a dedicated and passionate soul which is irreplaceable and this is not acceptable."
Last weekend, Kotoko observed a one-week memorial in honour of Pooley who is a staunch supporter of the club with management members and players of the club all present.
