Ghana international Jordan Ayew has lauded the importance of his dad, Abedi Pele, in his career and that of his brothers.
Abedi is arguably one of the biggest talents to come out of Africa, with his sons, Ibrahim Ayew, Andre and Jordan all tolling the same path.
Jordan and Andre both played for Abedi's former club, Olympique Marseille, before going their separate path.
Now at Leicester City, Jordan, who has 300 Premier League appearances under his belt, highlighted the importance of his parents in his life.
"My Dad has done a lot, for not only me, but my whole family. It’s not easy to come after your father in a sense of the expectations being so high back home and even in Europe," he told the club's website.
“I think me and my brother have coped really well with it and tried to focus on ourselves and ensure that we had our own journey."
On his mom, he added, “My Mum tells me that, but mums are always positive! Personally, that’s how I feel, that my parents can be proud of the journey me and my brother have made."
The Black Stars captain is confident both he and his brother Andre still have a lot to offer.
“There’s still more to come from us, and hopefully we can give them more moments to enjoy," he continued.
