President of Ghana Athletes, Bawa Fuseini, has lavished praise on young Mfantsipim sprinter Joseph Andoh Kwofie for his impressive performances and potential.
Joseph was among over 800 athletes who assembled at the University of Ghana Stadium for the 2025 Accra Open Championship, held on Saturday May 17.
Speaking during the third edition of the championship, Fuseini spotlighted the rising star.

“Joseph Andoh Kwofie is an amazing athlete from Mfantsipim and we took him to Cote d’Ivoire two years ago and to Zambia for the African Championship,” he told JoySports.
“He’s one of the athletes we [Ghana Athletes] are looking forward to developing.”
“He and the coaches, sometimes there’s a bit of an issue between their coaches and partners in the USA — so when it comes to those things, we’re very careful. If the athlete comes to us for support or guidance, we’ll always offer it. But if he wants to work with private coaches or counterparts in the USA, all is good for Mother Ghana.”
