Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has acknowledged that Bibiani Gold Stars have the upper hand when the two title contenders face off in a crucial Ghana Premier League encounter at Dun’s Park on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
The highly anticipated clash comes with just two points separating the sides, as both teams continue their push for the league title with only three games remaining.
Gold Stars have been formidable at home this season, losing only once, and Zito believes playing on their own turf gives them a significant edge.
“Well, it will be, because this is a team that is competing to win the League, and they won’t sit down for anyone to stop them from winning the League," Zito said.
"We are also in contention to win the League, so definitely it won’t be easy, it will be tough for both of us. They stand the advantage, because they are playing at home but that will not deter us from coming in for what we want.”
Kotoko, currently within reach of the top spot, will be desperate to secure all three points and hope league leaders Nations FC drop points in their match against defending champions Samartex.
