GFA President Kurt Okraku has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to achieving its long-term objectives despite the challenges faced along the way.
Kurt is serving his second term in office after taking over the position of power in 2019 from the Normalization Committee.
Speaking on the journey so far, the second Vice President of CAF admitted the process has not been smooth but insisted that progress takes time and teamwork.
“We knew that it will take time,” he told Ghana FA media.
“We also knew that to arrive at this destination [goals], we will have highs and lows. We also knew that we would need every stakeholder to stay together, to work together to arrive at our destination.
“We are very steadfast in our belief that we will indeed arrive at the said destination.”
The FA has recorded some successes, including winning the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, securing a spot at this year’s WAFCON through the Black Queens, and qualifying for the 2022 World Cup by the Black Stars.
However, there have also been setbacks, such as the Black Stars’ back-to-back exits in the group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations and low attendance at Ghana Premier League matches.
