Members of the executive team of the Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor, at his Peduase residence in the company of selected Kufuor Scholars led by the Program Director, Dr. Pascal Brenya
The visit was to express appreciation to the former President for his enduring legacy of nurturing the younger generation through the John A. Kufuor Foundation and the Kufuor Scholars Program (KSP).
The team was led by the visionary founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kwasi Twum and General Manager for Akan Brands, Abdulai Awudu.
In his remarks, the former President highlighted the achievements of the foundation and the Kufuor Scholars Program over the past ten years.
He, however, noted with concern that despite its significant impact, the work of the foundation and the program has not been widely publicized.
He therefore appealed to the Multimedia Group to help showcase these achievements and to promote the hope for Africa embodied in such an initiative that inspires young people to carry the torch of leadership and to accomplish even more than he and his generation were able to achieve.
Looking ahead, Mr. Kufuor extended an invitation to corporate Ghana, organizations, and individuals to join in completing the Kufuor Africa Leadership Centre at the University of Ghana campus, ensuring the sustainability of the project and expanding its impact beyond Ghana.
For his part, Mr. Twum expressed his delight at the opportunity to engage with the former President and commended him for continuing, even at his age, to dedicate his time and resources to nurturing the younger generation.
He noted that such commitment reflects the former President’s deep concern for national and continental development.
Mr. Awudu also assured the former President of the Multimedia Group's continued partnership with the scholars to highlight the good work and enduring legacy of his leadership.
