A potentially dangerous situation was brought under control by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) after a swarm of bees was reported near the Cocoa Board Office Building in Effiduase in the Ashanti Region.
In a post shared on Facebook, the Effiduase Municipal Fire Station received a distress call at 14:53 hours on Thursday, reporting a large swarm of bees gathering near a glass shop opposite the Cocoa Board office.

A fire tender was immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene within four minutes, at 14:57 hours.

Upon arrival, fire personnel observed a large swarm of bees that had left their hive and were actively moving towards the shop, posing a risk to both the public and nearby properties.

Firefighters acted swiftly to neutralise the swarm, and the situation was brought under control without any injuries, casualties, or property damage.
“The swarm of bees was completely cleared,” the GNFS confirmed in a Facebook statement.
