Medeama Sporting Club moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League table following their win over Dreams FC.
An Abdul Salam first-half goal and an own goal late in the game ensured the Yellow and Mauve lads picked up their fourth win of the season.
Ibrahim Tanko’s side broke the deadlock in the encounter after 30 minutes through Salam before Dreams leveled proceedings before the halftime whistle. The Believers goal came through Christian Owusu to draw parity before recess.
The away side began to grow into the game in the second half with Winfred Dormon’s side creating a few chances.
However, they were unable to make good use of the opportunities that came their way.
Medeama continued to press for the winner at the TNA Stadium with constant attacking threats.
Their efforts paid off in additional time of the second period when Dreams FC put their ball into the own net to make it 2-1.
The victory on the day means Medeama move to the summit of the league table with 12 points from an available 15, losing just one game.
Dreams FC, on the other hand, continue to enjoy a troubled start to the season with just one point from five games.
