Heart of Lions moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League table following their big win over Basake Holy Stars on Friday afternoon.
Bashir Hayford’s side claimed a 3-0 win at home to move above Medeama, bouncing back from defeat in their last game.
Lions had lost to Bibiani GoldStars in midweek in their outstanding league game before the meeting with Holy Stars.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior opened the scoring for the home side after 37 minutes before Michael Ephson doubled the lead before the halftime break.
With two minutes to go until the final whistle, Anthony Owusu got in the act to stretch the lead and put the game beyond the reach of the visitors.
The 3-0 victory takes Lions one point above Medeama who play Swedru All Black on Sunday in their matchday seven fixture.
For Holy Stars, the defeat sees them further stay at the bottom of the league table ahead of their next game against Hearts of Oak.
