The 2025 Milo U13 Championship kicked off on Wednesday, December 3, at Paa Joe Park, KNUST, Kumasi.
The opening activities began with a balloting that divided 16 schools, representing all regions, into four groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.
Following the draw, a sports clinic for non-participating schools was held, led by experienced coaches including Baba Nuhu Mallam.

Milo U13 icon Stephen Appiah actively guided and inspired the children. The youngsters enjoyed a rare chance to learn from the former Ghana captain and took memorable photographs with the Black Stars Management Committee deputy chair.

Appiah and the coaches also led activation sessions for participating schools before the first matches. Six games were played on the opening day at Paa and Maa Joe Parks within the KNUST campus.

The host school, Mim Pipie Primary of the Ashanti Region, delivered abundant entertainment with their exciting football and unique celebrations when they destroyed Upper West’s St. John’s School 7-0 in the opener.
The tournament continues on Thursday and will run through Saturday, December 6, 2025.
The Milo U13 Championship is returning after a six-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to inspire and develop the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
