Ghana’s Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has tipped England as favourites to finish top of Group L in the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw.
The senior national team were paired with the Three Lions, Croatia, and Panama in Friday’s draw held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the United States for next year’s global showpiece.
England were 2018 World Cup semi-finalists, while Croatia reached the last four in the Qatar edition, and Panama will be making only their second appearance in World Cup history.
"I look forward to every game as special," Otto Addo told Ghanafa.org.
"Very important for us that we don't underrate any team.
“For sure, England is the favourite in that group, but for me as a coach, to be honest, I'm looking at each and every game equally."
Ghana will open their tournament against Panama on Wednesday, 17 June, before facing England and Croatia on June 23 and 27, respectively.
The Black Stars have been eliminated at the group stage in each of their last two World Cup appearances.
