NPP flagbearer hopeful Kwabena Agyepong has pledged to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory and restore hope as he continues engagements with party delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
He pledged during a visit to Atebubu in the Bono East Region, where he met delegates from the Atebubu-Amantin, Sene East, Sene West, Pru East, and Pru West constituencies at the Atebubu Church of Pentecost.
Mr Agyepong emphasised his commitment to leading the party to victory, citing his experience as a former spokesperson and general secretary of the party.
He described the 2028 general elections as a critical moment for the NPP and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the party to victory and restore hope in Ghana with the support of delegates.
Positioning himself as a unifying figure, Mr Agyepong appealed to party members who had left the NPP, particularly Alan Kyerematen, to return, stating that the party was founded on sacrifice and not privilege.
Mr Agyepong, who is number four on the ballot, urged delegates to elect him as the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
He said his campaign had gained traction across several regions, reflecting renewed grassroots mobilisation and increasing confidence among delegates, while emphasising integrity, service, and renewal within the party and the nation.
The New Patriotic Party is scheduled to hold its presidential primaries in January 2026 to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
